My Morning Routine as a Young Professional

In order to deal with the whirlwind that is the day of a physician, the morning routine is crucial to make sure that I’m doing everything I can to prepare. Without the routine, I was feeling so haphazard and forgetting things, feeling exhausted, and then would go into my day already stressed. With the routine in place, it helped me a lot with my stress before getting to work.

Now that I’m done with training, in order for me to keep my mornings on the right track, I have a new routine that I follow.

Bible Study Tools I’m Using in 2025

If you have been reading here for a while, you know that faith is a huge part of my life. I first posted about this about 7 years ago, mostly to show the types of pens/things I use for my own bible study. See that post here.

Through the years, group bible study has gone from a small group of women going through Hebrews in my first apartment to a really large group of 30 women meeting up and reading through the book of Revelation together.

My personal bible study has gone from waking up at all hours of the morning to get a little bit of the word in before my very intense medical school surgery rotations to taking my devotional with me for when I have a free moment in the middle of the night on call as an interventional fellow.

Now, as an attending, I have a bit more time in the word.
